Snow, Lights & The Tree of Life – A Different, and Safe Winter Celebration for 2020
December 4, 2020 – Similar to many holiday celebrations in 2020, the large and exciting festivities of the Grace Hospital Foundation Winter Celebration had to be minimized this year in the interest of everyone’s health and safety.
However, the Tree of Life was still it on December 2 for all to see, as it shone brightly on the rooftop of the Grace. The lights on the Tree of Life are lit each year to celebrate and/or remember loved ones of donors of the annual Tree of Life Campaign.
The hospital front entrance was also festively decorated with fir trees and giant wreaths, generously sponsored by local businesses. This seasonal spirit was enjoyed by hospital patients and staff alike during the colder winter months, especially in the darker hours of the early morning and evening.
RE: Fireworks… We know that hundreds of families each year attend the Winter Celebration in anticipation of seeing the event fireworks. Although they are held outdoors, due to public health restrictions, the fireworks have been postponed until it is deemed that crowds can safely gather outdoors. Stay tuned to our website and social media for an announcement that a new date has been chosen to light up the skies over Sturgeon Creek!
